Gig worker wages and the rising cost of living
In this study we discuss the impact the pandemic had on the restaurant and food delivery industry, and how it relates to gig worker wages. This study found that businesses that paid higher wages on Gigable, statistically tended to have higher fulfilment for gigs. A survey of our freelancer community also revealed that gig workers cite rising fuel costs as one of their biggest concerns. Read this report to find out more and see how fair and equitable wages, combined with wage certainty, can result in a better experience, not only for worker and delivery people in the gig economy, but also for the businesses (and their customers) that hire them.
